Dacsa Group, Lifetime Achievement Award at the 3rd Levante-EMV Agriculture Awards

On April 24th, the headquarters of Cajamar in Valencia hosted the third edition of the Agriculture Awards — a key event for the agri-food sector of the Valencian Community, organized by Levante-EMV, recognizing professionals and companies that contribute to the economic, social, and sustainable development of the sector.

In this edition, Grupo Dacsa had the honor of receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition that highlights our journey from our beginnings as a family business rooted in rice, to becoming an international group with a presence across various business areas.

Our Executive Director, Ricardo Císcar, accepted the award on behalf of the entire company, and in his speech, he recalled how it all began: “This is recognition of a project my father started in 1968. He always used to say he wanted to build a factory taller than the bell tower of Almàssera… and in the end, he did it.”

This award symbolizes not only over five decades of work but also Dacsa’s deep commitment to the land, to the Valencia Rice Designation of Origin, and to La Albufera, the emotional and agricultural heart of our origins. Despite the diversification and expansion of our business units, rice remains at the core of our company — a legacy we proudly preserve and continue to build upon.

The gala, hosted by journalist Silvia Tomás, brought together the main representatives of the Valencian agri-food sector. In addition to Dacsa’s award, other honors were presented in the categories of Emerging Talent (Madeinplant), Innovation (Plant Protection and Biotechnology Center of IVIA), Internationalization (Cherubino Valsangiacomo Winery), Equality (San Isidro Cooperative of Vall d’Uixò), and Sustainability (Zuvamesa and MoreHolstein).

At Dacsa Group, we are deeply grateful for this recognition, which we share with everyone who has been part of our journey.

We will continue to stand for quality, innovation, and sustainability — always looking toward the future, but never forgetting our roots.
